About the Program

Mid-Year Program

The Recovery School District has made significant improvements in its efforts to place a highly effective teacher in every classroom. Like many urban school districts, however, the RSD still faces teacher shortages in the middle of each school year. These mid-year vacancies often have a detrimental impact on student achievement. In 2008, teachNOLA confronted this challenge by selecting 20 of the most outstanding candidates to begin training in December 2008 and to start teaching in January 2009.

At this time, teachNOLA is not planning to run a Mid-Year program in 2010. However, if you would like to received updates about our programs, we encourage you to register here.
